St. Raphael’s is a non-profit charitable organization created to build and operate a palliative care home and day centre offering free, high-quality palliative care in one of the most densely populated areas of Montreal. Professional caregivers and well-trained volunteers work together in this unique environment.

The facility offers 12 private bedrooms for patients requiring in-house, end-of-life care. Specialized palliative care nurses provide care 24/7, including psychological, social and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones by a multidisciplinary team. Care is provided with respect for the individual’s right to privacy, autonomy and beliefs. Care decisions are made in partnership with the patient, his/her loved ones and the clinical team.

The Day Centre provides guests and their loved ones with an exceptional experience and works to improve their well-being at every stage of their illness: from the diagnosis of an incurable disease through treatment to the last moments and after death.
